Details:

Adam Mark Zachs is wanted for the murder of a man in West Hartford, Connecticut. On March 22, 1987, Zachs became involved in an argument with a man at a bar. Upset over the verbal exchange, Zachs left the bar and went to his apartment where he obtained a 9mm automatic pistol. Zachs fled the scene of the shooting, but was later arrested at his apartment. On August 23, 1988, at the conclusion of a jury trial, Zachs was convicted of murder and sentenced to 60 years in prison. Pending appeal, Zachs was released on bond. In June of 1989, Zachs failed to appear at a scheduled court hearing and a warrant for failure to appear was issued by a judge in the Superior Court of Connecticut on June 27, 1989. On July 24, 1989, a federal arrest warrant charging Zachs with unlawful flight to avoid confinement was issued in the United States District Court, Hartford, Connecticut.
